Who is she, La FlâneuZe

She is La Flâneuze - a way of moving through the world.

She is not
a traveller
collecting places,
neither searching for the perfect view.

She is someone
paying attention.

Drawn to the details
easily overlooked:

details of authenticity,
of time leaving its signature,

a weathered door,
a faded wall,
a broken tile,
a small window hiding behind green shutters.

Things shaped by time
and
by human hands.

To her, these imperfections are not flaws.
They are evidence.
Telling stories of craftsmanship,
of lives lived,
of continuity.
Places that have evolved
rather
than been replaced.

A flâneuze does not
rush towards what is famous.

She wanders,
observes
and wonders.

She looks beyond the obvious to discover the character of a place — the layers,
the textures,
the quiet moments that reveal its true identity.

Painting is her way of slowing down enough to truly see.
Through watercolour and words,

La Flâneuze captures not only places,
but the feeling of being present within them.

Marrakech through her eyes is not only the colour of the walls or the beauty of its architecture.
It is the worn surface,
the hidden courtyard,
the handmade detail,
the trace of a person who was there before.

But La Flâneuze is not tied to one city.
She can exist anywhere.

Because wandering is not only about where you go.
It is about how you look.

And
perhaps,
by learning to notice the small things again,
by becoming a nosy explorer,
rediscovering something we thought we had lost:

our own curiosity.
